Bolin Gao is currently an associate research professor at the School of Vehicle and Mobility, Tsinghua University. His research interest is the dynamic design and control methodology of Intelligent and Connected Vehicles. He currently serves as a Secretary General of The Youth Committee of China-SAE. He has won special prize of China Automotive Industry Science and Technology Progress, and first prize of Science and Technology Progress of China Intelligent Transportation Systems Association, etc. He has been selected in the China Association for Science and Technology " Young Elite Scientists Sponsorship Program", Tianjin "131" Innovative Talent Training Project, etc.

The Intelligent Connected Vehicle (ICV) is an important development direction of scientific technological revolution and industrial transformation. It is also a key opportunity to implement the national industry innovation strategy and realize the leading of industrial development.

ICV is a typical application of Cyber-Physical System (CPS) in the automotive transportation system of systems. The vehicle road cloud integration system, based on a new generation of mobile internet, cloud computing and other technologies, significantly enhance the comprehensive performance of road traffic. This needs the integration of automotive, transportation infrastructure, information and communications infrastructure (including 4G/5G, map and positioning, data platforms), etc.
