Received the B.S. degree in mechanics and the M.S. degree in fluid mechanics from Sichuan University, Chengdu, China, in 2006 and 2009, and the Ph.D. degree in automotive engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai, China in 2015. He is currently an Assistant Professor with the School of mechanical and automotive engineering, Shanghai University of Engineering Science, Shanghai, China. He is the founder and CEO of Shanghai Thaisen Electric Technology Co., Ltd. His research interests include Electric vehicle charging systems, energy storage systems, and on-board chargers for EV.
Electric vehicle battery capacity is increasing rapidly to about 100kWh, and owners expect charging time to be as short as possible, so the charging current of DC charging pile increases from 250A to 800A now. The voltage platform of EV batteries has changed from 400V to 800V. The rapid increasing charging power(up to 800kW) will have huge challenges on the power grid and charging system.
